Many critics panned Red Tail as “too dramatic” or “overly sentimental,” yet America disagreed. Red Tails raked in 6.2 million on it’s opening night (Friday January 20, 2012) and is on course of bringing in an estimated 20 million by weekends end. Not bad for an all black cast. As you and I both know critics would say the obvious, they didn’t think an all back cast could carry a high budget movie and once again they were proven wrong. If Red Tails meets expectations, it will be the second highest grossing movie of the weekend behind Underworld. Again Kudos to George Lucas for telling this story and tanks to the Tuskegee Airmen for making the story possible to be told.
