Trinidadian born and Brooklyn bred rapper Theophilus London is getting quite alot of buzz these days. The rapper, who is often compare to Kid Cudi, is making waves in the world of hip hop for his unique fashion sense and his lyrical ability. While Theophilus London may not be a household name yet, his tours overseas and in the US are selling out. In 2011, London got the attention of the industry with his performance at the Cannes Film Festival in France. That performance catapulted him into the limelight and made the industry take notice. London’s old school flow and funky lyrics make him an anomoly in today’s cookie cutter hip hop industry. Hopefully, Theophilus London will continue to dare to be different and bring back to hip hop what it is sorely missing: That Unique Swag. If not we will continue to wait for the end of Andre 3000’s exile from hip-hop. Listen to London’s title track “I Want You” sampled by a Marvin Gaye song of the same name on his mix tape I Want You.
